Enjoyed a nice evening ride to Great Salt Lake State Park from my downtown apartment. It was enjoyably warm weather on the way there but the temperature dropped accordingly with the sun and it was chilly by the time I got home. This is a flat, fast ride but the mind is incredible for everytime I began to tire out I would convince myself that I must be on some low angle incline.

It feels good that I can go and complete a 40 mile bike ride with relative ease (albeit an easy course) after no formal training for years. In all a great ride and could feel my cycling legs returning to me with every mile.

Went on a hilly 5 mile run tonight through the avenues. I felt pretty good for the entirety of the run; maintaining an 7-8 min/mile pace (no watch so just guessing). It was unusally warm today for this time of year. I took off my jacket and ran in just a shirt for most of it. I ran today without music and re-discovered how much better it is for staying focused and present during a run.
